Bringing together a unique combination of partners to hack harassment!
#HackUNL’s inaugural 3-day hackathon weekend occurred on April 14 – 16. Hosted at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln campus, college students from a variety of departments were invited to create solutions aimed at creating a kinder and braver online world. #HackUNL kicked off its Opening Ceremony with speakers from Hack Harassment, Born This Way Foundation, Major League Hacking, Coach Cheetah, UNL CSE Ambassadors, international bullying prevention and intervention expert Dr. Susan Swearer, Hack Harassment Campus Ambassador Raul Palacios, and a keynote by the founder of the Buddy Project, Gabby Frost. Following the Opening Ceremony, participants and bullying content experts were invited to meet (some for the first time) and form teams to work on their cyber-related projects. Check out this short video from the keynote.
